Dr. Yalin Gorica’s research interests focus on internationalization in higher education, social policy and organizational management in early childhood education, program evaluation, second language acquisition and bilingual education in young children. Yalin regularly attends and presents at national and international conferences in the field of early childhood education, applied research, higher education and program evaluation. She also delivered workshops to professionals in Canada, China and Hong Kong on topics including play-based learning, working with children and families in different cultural contexts, Canadian early childhood practices as well as teaching and conducting applied research in Canadian colleges.

Currently supervising students’ undergraduate research projects in the areas of:
– Male working in the ECE field
– Children’s gender identity and inclusive ECE environment
– Supporting immigrate children and families in Ontario kindergarten classrooms
– Women’s career path to leadership in ECE
– Supporting children with medical or special needs in child care
